SKILLS CAMP '99 |

On 18 - 20 August Winnipeg Skydiving Centre hosted a long-awaited RW skills camp. The camp was conducted by John Moore, an experienced coach from Edmonton. Contrary to the Junior Skills Camp, in July, the weather during the camp was great, providing excellent visibility and no-wind conditions for all three days of the camp. |  |

Two 4-way loads and one double 2-way load were constantly replacing each other in the plane. Each jump was preceded by extensive ground training in the class and on the creepers, and followed by a thorough debriefing. |  |
| Many thanks to the other coaches who were helping John Moore to accomplish his goal. The intensity of the camp was enormous; the students had little rest, and the coaches had even less. This extreme intensity would have not been achieve without the invaluable help of Andrea Loewen in packing the coaches’ parachutes between loads, when they were busy debriefing students. |  |
Though
tired and exhausted, all the participants were amazed at the progress in
their relative work skills, speaking with disbelief about the number of
achieved points.
