Per: The 2018 Events Calendar, the 2018 MSPA Provincials will be held the weekend of June 30th – July 2.
This year, we’ll have a Cessna 206 on the DZ, so the FS competition will be 4-way with video.
Competition will begin Saturday morning, with the briefing beginning at 8:30a sharp. The rounds will be drawn and posted late Friday afternoon.
The competitive events this year will be:
- 4-way FS
- Team Accuracy
- Individual Accuracy
- Style (dependent on interest).
The jump tickets will be slightly more expensive for the 206, so competition registration fee will be $25 per participant.
Competition will run Saturday morning June 30 through Monday July 2 (sunset), and consist of five rounds. NOTE: three completed rounds will constitute a successful competition, if competition is curtailed by bad weather.
Please confirm with MSPA Events Director Kevin Spurrill your intent to compete by Friday, June 29. Please help out your organizers by completing your registration by Friday, although registration will still be accepted on Saturday morning. NOTE: You will not have access to the posted rounds until registration has been completed.
Competition participation prerequisites:
- Current MSPA membership in good standing ($25 annual fee c/o Loni Waterman)
- Proof of CSPA/FAI affiliation required
- Registration fee paid: $25 (Cash, cheque or e-transfer to Brian Forbes)
- B-CoP required for 4-way FS
- Solo CoP or A-Cop for Style and/or Accuracy
There will be two available creeping areas, with creeping inside available in the classroom, and outside creeping on the north side of the loft.
There will be a BBQ (burgers and smokies/hotdogs) on Sunday night at the DZ. The BBQ is included with registration.
Let’s have a great turnout and a fun, safe competition!
